Just recently, I have been informed by a friend that Silent Hill the movie is coming out. After seeing a few game based movies produced in America, I was immediately gripped in fear and dispair. However, it is Silent Hill, the game in which I spent nearly 2 years of my youth analyzing. (Why did they pick such a stupid character coming from Norway??) Surely Roger Avary, someone who co- wrote Pulp Fiction, can input at a least a fraction of the depth found from the series.
Well either the man who slaughtered Lovecraft (Christophe Gans) took over, or Avary lost his touch. Either way, from the trailer, I did not see much of a story line in the movie. The child is of course psychotic and the mother is an over protective 'I want to understand my child' woman. -_-
What is wrong with a simple man who wishes to recover from his widower-hood? Does that destroy the 'American family' image? Does the freakish monstrosities that attacks the mother have any mental significance? Or are they just typical scare props?
My hopes are dimming.. ah well at least I still have my 274 paged small lettered Anyalsis Report. (And a detailed 'Ami' walkthrough) And I do recommend the graphic novel "Dying Inside" (with a story by Artist of 'The Burrow') And "Among the Damned" Do the game justice!

Fascinating nickname, btw
